SASCA #5 Event Meeting - June 4 2025
Autocross #5 May 31 RCCC
Course designer: Collins Brant. Total entries - 127 pre, 153 with times, 32 walk ups - 4 runs, 3 heats.

Event discussion.
-New online registration/check in. Thanks to Ming Nuygen, Jeff Warden and Dallas Cobb
-Could have done 5 runs. 1st heat was slow and spreadsheet said do 4. Tough call.
-Worker Chief didn’t check # of corners for first heat assignments.
- Course chalker needs to be 2 people. June said he will find an assistant.
- Timing gear was all transferred to Chris Hill

- Spokes Pro Solo lights and software. We will rent 1 time for ½ their cost, then each time after pay a portion of their yearly software subscription.
- SASCA Autocross Grant - rewards SASCA members who attend their first ever SCCA national autocross event. Will go into effect 2026.
- SASCA is applying to be 501c3 - Jeff
Each year, SASCA will announce which national autocross events the grant applies to. Typically the eligible events will be the TX National Tour, TX Pro Solo, and SCCA Autocross National Championships. The number of recipients and the amount of the grant will vary at each event.
Grant winners will be selected and notified in advance of the event, but the grant will be paid out after the event is complete.
The SASCA BOD will select the recipients of the grants based on a combination of passion, attendance, level of involvement within SASCA, performance, and financial need.
