2018 SASCA Classing Proposal Discussion
« on: December 14, 2017, 05:44:56 PM »
Greetings active members of SASCA,

At our last monthly meeting we only had a handful of people who have sent in e-mails or voiced their concerns on Facebook in regards to the R-PAX bump class.  Since this affects the club as a whole we are wanting a vote from the majority of the club for the 2018 season.

If you are not aware of what is being discussed, here is a quick rundown...

2018 SASCA Classing Proposal Discussion

The following SCCA classes shall be combined into the “R” PAX: SSP, ASP, BSP, CSP, DSP, ESP, FSP, SSR, CP, DP, EP, FP, GP, XP, SM, SSM, AM, BM, CM, DM, EM, KM. The “R” PAX standings are based on the PAX times generated from the original SCCA class.  Anyone running in “R” can opt to run in “Tire” PAX if they are on 200+ TW tires.

The purpose of this proposal is to promote friendly competition within the club for these classes.  For the 2017 season there were only 2 events where one of the above mentioned classes had more than 1 or 2 people in them.  This "R" PAX bump class acts in a similar fashion to T (Tire), X (X-Pro), and N (Novice) meaning it's just a grouping of people based on their base class PAX so that for example a SM car can compete against BM.

Please cast your vote by sending an e-mail to vote@sasca.org by December 31st, 2017.

Please include your name and whether you vote YES to make a mandatory "R" PAX for the listed classes or NO to keep the classing as it stands now.

Thank you,
