On-line pre-registration for SASCA events is now open on dlbracing.com. Here is the link to official pre-registration for the August event
http://www.dlbracing.com/sasca
. Be sure to pre-register before midnight on the Friday before the event so you are sure to make it into the drivers database for Sunday's event.

Hello everyone. I was at the July 20th event and will be at this next one. My driving needs a lot of work, but I had a lot of fun.

Doug, I'd suggest you volunteer for the first worker group, then catch a ride wih an exerpienced driver, and compete in the last run group. Working the first set of corners, you can see how drivers approach and exit maneuvers, as well as riding with a speed demon. There are a lot of web-based resources on how to drive in an autocross as well. Remember that smooth is fast; brake as late as you can, and always be looking at the next gate. Good luck, Mike

Mike, thanks for the advice. I was in the first worker group last time and competed in the 3rd and 6th groups. I rode with Kittylicious and also with John, I believe his name was, in a blue WRX. I definately need more practice and more runs with experienced drivers, like you said.
I need to start looking ahead more, among other things...

i need to get back on the track! thats my top priority. past that my car is having a BAD BAD soft spot off launch under 3000k rpm thats KILLING ME (patience/frustration wise) and a bad motor mount that need dealing with ASAP. past that ive got a stiffer rear suspension going in before the august event (im telling the truth this time!) that hopefully will make me learn to drive my car all over again. i hope this forum gets a lot of people and traffic, itd be good to be able to talk to all the club members in this format.

Hello all,
I'll be in SA the weekend of the 24th and was interested in running in the autocross event. I normally autocross in Houston so I'm not sure what class to run in SA since yours are a bit different. I can't find any information on this site about your classes. Can someone point me in the right direction? I run in DS according to moutons info, but I see you have DS and DS-tire. Does tire mean Race tire or Street tire?
Thanks for the info.
