SASCA Annual Tech Inspection Procedures

I Plan to attend the following events and be available to issue 2012 Annual Tech Stickers to qualified SASCA members:
     1) (Tentative) 7 January 2012, SASCA Annual Tech Party.
     2) 21 January 2012 SASCA Year End Party.
     3) The Januasry 2012 SASCA General Membership meeting.
     4) The January 2012 Coffee 'n Rides.
     5) The February 2012 SASCA General Membership Meeting.
     6) The February 2012 Coffee 'n Rides.
Due to the large number of entries needing Event Tech Inspections, we will not make a commitment to do Annual Tech Inspections on the morning of an AutoX. We will try, but the time required makes it difficult. If you were issued a 2011 Annual Tech Sticker for your vehicle, you can bring it to the Tech line, complete and sign a "SASCA Annual Technical Safety Inspection Form" and be issued a 2012 sticker.

In order to be issued an initial Annual Tech Sticker you must:
     1) Be a member of SASCA.
     2) Read and be able to demonstrate a familiarity with Srction 3.3.3 VEHICLE SAFETY of the most recent version of the SCCA Natoinal Solo rules.
     3) Read and be familiar with the manufacturer's published guidelines for the proper installation of any after-market safety-related equipment installed on/in your vehicle and have hard copy or links to those guidelines available with you.
     4) Bring the vehicle with you to which you intend to affix the sticker. The vehicle must be in the condition in which you intend to compete with it (esp. tires).
     5) Assure that all safety components of the vehicle requiring specific visual or manual inspection (i.e. battery, brake fluid resevoir, wheels, lug nuts, etc.) are uncovered and accessible.

EXEMPTIONS
For the January and February SASCA AutoX events, the following Tech inspection markers will be honored:
     1) The 2011 SASCA Annual Tech Sticker.
     2) The 2011 SPOKES Annual Tech Sticker.
     3) The appropriate event specific "dot" or "star" sticker.
     4) and, of course, the 2012 SASCA and 2012 SPOKES Annual Tech sticker.

UPDATE!!! UPDATE !!! UPDATE !!!! NEW TIME: 11:30 am
Here's the deal. People smarter than I have determined (and I concur) that we should be started by noon so as to not interfere with Bobby J's regular lunch traffic. Said people also feel that we should get a headcount. You can RSVP by "Reply" to this thread or by email to me by phone to me.

I will be coming from North so if anyone wants to organize a scenic drive, feel free.

NEW TIME: 11:30 am.

ENDING when the crowd thins out.

Someone with more wisdom than I may or may not be planning and organizing a cruise-like event from a starting point in San Antonio and arriving at Mr. J's place at exactly 11:30. If you would like to help with the criuse part, please respond to this posting. We also ask that you RSVP even if your attendence is tentative.

Thank you, Dalton for the informative post.

I am currently tentative only because I may be driving to Oklahoma Friday & Saturday to pick up a car for Diane.  If not I will definitely be at the 2012 Annual Tech.
