None of this is set in stone yet, but I am proposing these dates for our 2012 schedule.  If anybody has any major objections (with GOOD reason) to these dates, please speak up ASAP.  I don't care if you have something personal going on -- I only care about other events/issues/holidays that would negatively impact attendance at any of these events.

Thanks.

2012
January 29
February 19
March 4 (potentially a novice school on March 3rd)
April 29
May 20
June 24
July TBD (Likely hosted by Spokes)
August 12
September TBD (Likely hosted by Spokes)
October 14
November 11
December 9

When you put locations to days, could you consider locations with the most cover?

Mainly I'm reffering to July and August, and how my preference is that they be hosted @ Blossom Hill.
That venue is much more spectator friendly.  There is no running water, but a very comfortable shaded area for everyone to enjoy.

Right now we are planning to have just one event for each of those months in our region (June through September)...  Essentially we will team up with Spokes, and each club will only be hosting an event every other month for the months of June through September, thereby giving everybody a bit of a break from the heat, and to try to avoid burning everybody out before the SCCA Nationals.

As we talked about at the previous monthly meeting, we're going to exclusively run at Retama Park for 2012, as far as the current plan goes.

Ricky, do you have a list of the other events in our region that you used when you put together the SASCA calendar? I would be interested in seeing a regional schedule of other club events that we can attend. Thanks,

The schedule looks good to me. I'm fine with fewer summer events, usually July is a lower turn out than normal anyway.  Thanks Ricky for putting the schedule together.

I see no conflicts.  I like the "light summer" schedule.

I agree to that, but only one in town in November is bunk.

Thats the best weather we get out here.

SPOKES hasn't yet gotten their schedule set up...  I am sure there will be a local Spokes event in September, as well.  Besides, the end of August/beginning of September is the time for Nationals, so a lot of us are doing a ton of traveling then.

It's not a bad thing to have a little downtime over the holidays :-)

We have plenty of things to keep us occupied between now and then (Spokes EOY party, our EOY party, etc, etc).
