SENNA Documentary in Austin, 8/19/2011

Somewhere else on this form, Eric mentioned the SENNA documentary in Austin in August. The information I have states it to be Friday, August 19, 2011, from 7:00p to 10:00p.
Eric mentioned tha it would be a good event to car pool to.
More details can be had at this Facebook page:

Obviously my Karlino (Miata) would not be a smart car pool candidate. If someone had a Suburban or other such SUV, & we left early enough, we could make a side trip to the Circuit of The Americas & I could direct us to the best viewing site! Just an idea...

Movie times are up on the theater's site & tickets can be prepurchased. Due to increasing popularity, there are many more days and times of showings!!! Basically, shows begin at noon to midnight on Friday 8/19 and run through Thursday the following week. What would everyone think of a Saturday (8/20) cruise up to see it sometime then? Don't forget we have our AutoX the following day! I'm sure weekdays are difficult for most people like myself.
Here's the link to see times & purchase tickets. 11:40 is the first time, morning cruise up, movie, lunch somewhere, then back to SAT?

Thought everyone? Also...Sondra S mentioned on a SPOKES group email that there are rumors that former world champion David Coulthard may be in town to join up promoting the movie, see the F1 site, and possibly be bringing an F1 car as well!! I wouldn't see any reason to think that Saturday wouldn't be a perfect day for an appearance!!

Dalton...I haven't had a chance to update my original post. They pushed the release of the movie by a week, so instead of this weekend it is opening 8/26.

Red Bull is suppose to put on a demo with an F1 car this Saturday. They are trying to obtain a permit to shut down Congress Ave a couple of times in the morning to make some short runs with their demo car.
'Former F1 driver David Coulthard will drive Red Bull’s Racing Showcar for a promotional video connected to the return of F1 in the United States at a track under construction near Austin'.

Thanks. Good info. The link wasn't changed when I wrote the invite.

As stated in a previous post, the Senna movie has been postponed. We will re-issue the invitation, or not, next week.
