Meeting called to order at 7:34pm. President Ricky Crow presiding.

Old Business

Introductions were made.

Event #4 @ Blossom -- 112 drivers, 6 runs, and finished up by 3:30pm. Would have been done by around 3, but had a couple of slight delays (one timing entry issue caused a pause, and one run-over timing emitter caused another pause).  Excellent job on quick worker change-outs and getting things moving again quickly from heat-to-heat!  Great first course design by Chris!

Novice Trophies!

New Business

South Texas Triumph Club AutoCross - A week and a half away at Tree of Life Church on April 30, 2011...  Met with them at the site this past Saturday to scope out where to have the course, grid/pit, etc.  Volunteers for course design?  Need a couple of helpers for setup and teardown, as well.  Exit 182 on I-35 north in New Braunfels.

Retama Lot Cleaning - Let's get on the John's friend's schedule for having a street sweeper come out to Retama the second week in June (sometime between the 6th-10th).  The estimate was about $180.  Do it!

June Divisional -- LOTS of help needed!  Positions need filling!

- Chief Steward

- Chief of Safety - Chris Leclair

- Ops Steward

- Chief of Tech - Eric Poyer

- Chief of Course

- Chief of Grid

- Chief of Protest

- Chief of Registration

- Chief of Impound

- Chief of T&S - Ricky

- Chief of Waivers

- Chief of Workers - Diane?

- Chief of Hospitality

- Gate - David Alarcon

SASCA Trailer -- needs bearings/brakes serviced.  One brake pulls/engages harder than the other, causing the trailer to try to move the tow vehicle side-to-side when the brakes engage.  Has been like this for years, just needs adjusting.  Those with short wheelbase tow vehicles would notice it more than those with trucks.  Bearings should be serviced, anyway, being that we are towing it more on the highway between Blossom and the storage site on occasion.

Speakers - Justin Callaghan has provided a quote for some new speakers (Quote is $980 -- I make a motion to spend up to $1,000 for a 600-watt amplifier and two JBL EON speakers).

*ALL voted in favor*

May event (Co-Event with Spokes) -

      Course designer -

Towing to/from event - John Patterson is willing to tow the trailer back to the storage.

New gate location at Retama: gate workers will now be stationed at the main entrance by the ticket booths. This is to resolve the issue of people coming to the event without signing the waiver by incidentally bypassing the gate workers.

Safety on course! In April's event 2 course workers ran right in front of a car on course.

**WHEN THE COURSE IS HOT DO NOT TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE CARS ON THE TRACK! ALWAYS WATCH THE CARS COMING TOWARD YOU, AS THEY PASS YOU, AND FOR 50 FT PAST YOU**

If a car is too close to a cone that needs to be reset DO NOT try to reset it if you will not be able to get out of the way in time. The racers cannot anticipate a course worker running out in front of them, most racers will have their cars at the edge of its limits and may not be able to stop to avoid you in time, you will cause delay for the rest of the race as the car will need a re-run, and most importantly you risk yourself bodily injury!

Meeting adjourned at 8:34pm.

I can haul trailer back and forth to the Divisional event.  I will also help Eric with Tech on Friday. And I will help with arrangements for catering, water/ice, and tents/tables/chairs if needed.

The trailer brakes/bearings are my gig.  What is the timeframe?  I'll work out the logistics.
