Hi all! I did some track and ax with the TN region scca aout of Nashville. I was wondering if there is another forum that has more traffic for general questions, as I see that the events section here is really all that is used. I am also looking for a fender roller in the ne.
Thanks

Hey Herbert, welcome aboard & to SA!

There are other forums out there, but this would be the right one to ask for San Antonio autocross-related items such as fender rollers, advice, help, etc...

One way or the other, we hope to see at our next autocross in 2 weeks, on Sunday, April 17th, at the Blossom Athletic Center lot.  More directions & details can be found on the Events section of the Forum.

Also, feel free to check my blog for a variety of amateur racing enthusiasts racing data: http://RacingReady.com

Welcome Herbert!
I'm still fairly new to town as well (2yrs).  I don't have a fender roller, but we have a blast at our events!  I look forward to meeting you.

Hey guys sorry I never responded to your replies! I'm hoping to make it to the event on the 31st, but I couldn't find the cost for walk-up registrations, and is there a military discount?

Herbert, you can register here: https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/calendar_main.php?viewevent=1063 up til the Thur before event and you don't pay until day of event.
Cost for members/non-members is $20/25 and you pay the day of event. Keep in mind there is a $5 late fee if you register after 8.30am day of event. I am not sure there is a discount for military.
There are also two Spokes events before ours and you can find info on our home page under 'SASCA events'. Both of the Spokes events are at San Antonio Raceway.

Thanks. I was referring to the July 31 event, as unfortunately I'm so busy with school that is the only event I think I can squeeze in.

BTW, what is the typical number of runs? In my last region it was 6-8.

We try to get about the same... Generally no less than 6...  When it's not blistering hot outside, we will sometimes do more than 6 runs if there aren't too many people at the events.

No just students and military, you need an appropriate ID card and let us know at registration.

Just for clarification... The $3 discount is for non-member students and military...  If you are a paying member and pre-register online, you end up getting a $5 discount, instead.
