Apologies for the delay, but Grady's doesn't have wifi. Wink

7:30pm  Meeting called to order, 19 JAN 2011, Ricky Crow presiding

A lot of new faces were present. Introductions were made.

OLD BUSINESS

January Event
Rain! For the first time at Blossom we had rain.

Equipment
Ricky hasn’t ordered the cones yet but it will get done soon. The BOD agreed upon spending 500$ on cones.

Trailer
The trailer has made it to its new home at Fey’s Boat and Trailer storage; spot 29

2010 Year End Party
Bar D BBQ is the spot and the date is set for February 5th. Weather pending, Dalton will be doing annual tech before the party starts.

2011 Schedule
Retama has an event that is causing a schedule conflict for the June 5th date. Perhaps we can do a co-event with Spokes for June.

June Divisional
Planning is still in the works. The date is confirmed/contracted, but no other details have been set as of yet. Stay tuned!

Novice school
March 5th is the date! Online registration is required. There is an entry cap of 30 students with an entry fee of 40$. Student MUST sign up for this event ahead of the event date. No walk up registration will be allowed. Lunch will be provided for students and instructors.
***We still need volunteers for event setup!***
See the Events Section for volunteer sign-up.

Currently we have a list of 6-7 confirmed instructors. We’re getting an early start for this event (no later than 9am for first car out).

NEW BUSINESS

February 20th Event
Retama Park. Decibel level reminder:95dB@50 ft from the edge of the course. Readings will be taken periodically throughout the day to ensure compliance.
***We need a volunteer for trailer towing***
Vivek Goel is the event master.

Z Club President takes the floor
The Z Club, which is under a larger umbrella of Nissan car clubs, is requesting an autocross put on by SASCA in conjunction with a few other types of events (car show and drift event) at their proposed premier Nismo Fiesta event slated for April. Numbers of participants are promised along with sponsors. The Z Club has their own million dollar insurance to cover the event. Date is set for April 3rd. Ricky suggests a list of entrants a few days ahead of time. SASCA members are welcome to run their cars on the course.

Jay Cryderman made a motion to vote on committing to put this event on for the Z Club: all are in favor!

Suggestions

Craig suggested a drive before the Year End Party. Diane was unanimously appointed. Tongue
Ricky reminds us that memberships can now be easily paid for online at axwaresystems.com/axorm !

Meeting adjourned at 8:38 pm.

Did we not present Novice trophies last night? I had to step out for a minute but there is no mention in the minutes.

Hey Ricky, what about scheduling a "Test & Tune" event on a Saturday prior to an autocross event on Sunday?  Kinda similar to the A&M club at their Riverside Annex.  Charge a fee for unlimited runs.  It'll be fun & create additional revenue for the club.  Just a thought.

Sorry for the late response, but no. They weren't. Ricky told me tha Kevin gave them out at the event. I'm not sure about this past event as I cannot stay late since I always have to go home, nap for a few hours, then go to work that night.
