So Now I expect you will be beating me by at least 4 seconds now.  Gimme a Break!  I can always hope that the changes will cause you to get slower somehow.

No way to join on-line yet.  Maybe in the future.

Were up to 29 drivers pre-registered so far for this event.  It looks pretty good for making the break-even point.

Now we're at 30.  I got my dad to sign up also.

Well, the only change that we want to make that may slow us is the roll-cage.  But, of course we're not planning on building that until we get our PCA events back down in Corpus.

Feeling crappy because we're more in debt may slow us down................or the frustration may make us faster...

Can't wait to run again.

I'll plan on being there.  I wonder if 3rd gear still works on my car?

Count me in and maybe we can holler at the Longhorn PCA and Spokes AND our buds from Houston, and I'll throw down a challenge to the Corvette clubs.

I will BEG Bob Hall to bring his Lingenfelter Corvette out -- he topped 190 MPH at a high speed run last year without taping / lowering his street-legal car (still includes a/c and cup holders).... My baby will be ready and I'll run open headers for this one..

I hate to be party pooper but here are some thoughts I posted to the email list:

I have a fundamental issue with supporting this guy after he treated us in what I considered to be a very poor manner the last time we used his lot.  Don't get me wrong, I want to race too but it seems that we are for once not lacking in locations.  Granted, I am not a BOD member so I don't *really* know how much better we are being treated by these other locations.  But what I see is that this guy got his britches in a knot and kicked us out a year ago and now wants us to pay more to come back to his increasingly torn up lot.  Rumor has it that RCR had a bad year and now needs our money but I just can't see why we'd consider paying them so much that we need a 70 car turnout to break even.  If he has another bad year, will he charge us even more?  And will our other contacts have lapsed by then, leaving us with no other easy options?  If that was the only lot we could get, perhaps racers would be desperate enough to show up in throngs but it looks like we're going to be having the opportunity for multiple events many months which I suspect will decrease each event's turnout as people get their fix/conserve tires/whatever.  I truly do appreciate all the work that the BOD is doing to find locations but the last time we dealt with this place it left a very bad taste in my mouth

Thoughtfully,
Laura
