I'll be there!
Am I missing something here? I was under the impression SAR/RCR was an alternate/extra venue for SASCA to race. With sites growing more scarce all the time I look forward to racing (anywhere). All sites have their drawbacks, Alamodone (small), SAR (Todd/rough surface), Tech Ridge (too straight/long drive) etc. I would like to thank the BOD for finding us another site (they are the one's that will have to deal with Todd, just ask Will). If we do what we need to and Todd does what he needs to, this can be a win/win situation for everyone concerned. As in the words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?"

"but little do you realize todd was required to move trailers and prep the track (other than the oil barrels) for our races. This was done on his OWN time, and for very little pay."
Where do you get this story from??
SASCA was giving him $500 cash, tax-free (I'm sure he never declared it), every month, and all he had to do was, at the worst, straighten up some trash barrels and maybe move a couple trailers that HIS CUSTOMERS should have moved in the first place? About those trailers -- that was only on a couple of occasions, that was a rare thing that he ever had to move any trailers. For $500 cash, I'd gladly spend an hour or two moving a few trailers and straightening some trash barrels.
The guy has a temper and he will let it fly to whatever BOD member is nearby when he shows up... I'm warning you. I've seen it too many times when we used to be there.
The general consensus is that the new folks that haven't been around to see all this seem to want to race there, but the rest of us that have been around for a while are warning to be cautious.... Just trying to save you from having to go through the same hassles we've seen in the past.

OK, here's my $.02 whether you like it or not.
Yes, we've had problems with Todd and RCR/SAR in the past. However, we should not be discarding sites on that fact alone. Also we have one advantage that we didn't have last time we ran there. We are not desperate, we have an alternative. If SAR becomes a problem, then fine we stay at Alamodome, however if SAR works out, then great, we have 2 places to race.
I trust the BoD has our best interest for the club in mind, that's why we voted them in, so I'll be there and I'll be greatful we have any place to race, let alone 2.
PS. OT - SAR(s)[xx(] might be a bad acronym, maybe SARW or SART would be better, WHO has better things to do than innoculate a racetrack.
Thanks,

Hehe, check out the registration page. In STS it looks like an autocross broke out at an '02 civic meet. [

This event is still at the 90% probability level. The letter to San Antonio Raceway management has been drafted. SASCA president Mike Allen will be back in town on Friday to sign it. The letter will go to SAR management on Friday or Monday. Keep your fingers crossed.

Nope, You do not have to pay to spectate at the SASCA events. I'm not sure how it is going to work for this RCR event, but the Alamodome ones are open to however wants to go watch.
AutoXing is fun, pay your $25, bump up your tire pressures and give it a shot. Just be careful, because you might get addicted. [

You will not have to pay to watch at RCR either. All you do is sign the waiver. You can even ride with people on course to get a birds eye view. Dont worry about being embarrased. Everybody starts at the bottom to begin with. To accept this and learn from mistakes is how you progress.
