Gotta love these guys!

H2R Gymkhana (1-5pm)
We're at it again with our next H2R gymkhana. This is all the fun you can stand to have at a auto-related event. It's gonna be hot, but we've got a feeling our plans will make sure you stay cool during the event.

There's room for 20 drivers total. Members pay $40 and non-members, $50, while the slots last.

If you've never done one of these before, it's hard not to leave smiling. No special requirements other than a safe car and a willingness to have fun.

Very interested! Can you throw out some more details as to what the gymkhana will entail?

Will there be a chance to use the actual course? More info is appreciated, thx

This event has little to do with the tiny parking lot gymkhana's that you've seen videos of.  Not Ken Block stuff either but somewhere in between.

The last two events were run on 80% of the track.  Hard to say what they will do this time but it is probably safe to say that there will be some reversing and a working handbrake will be handy.  Outside of that, just know that Bo and crew have a good sense of humor and will make it fun and challenging.

The thread from Event #1:
http://www.sasca.org/forum/index.php/topic,4020.0.html
There are pictures, video and a great course description by Adam.

I have some in car video from Event #2 but it's horrible.  I did hand held (don't do this at an autox!) shots from Mike and Tom's cars and they include a lot of footage of the dash and my footage.  I do have a backwards facing shot of my one run but the badly slipping clutch made for a boring video and some language.  I should post it just to show the course.

There is still time to sign up for this Saturday!  This is a great event for those of us who aren't going to the divisional.

This was the highlight of my day.  For me, It involved almost zero velocity and the throwing of objects.  You weren't really supposed to throw objects at the course workers but I took the initiative.

Description on video:
In this episode of H2R Gymkhana there was a real live carnival style dunk tank but with a twist. Charge into the garage, come to a stop, activate the dunk tank then back out. The twist is that Eric was in the dunk tank shooting water at you until he was dunked.

I asked Bo if I could throw things at Eric, he said "sure, anything you can find". I think he saw me eyeballing the tires on a tire barrier and suggested I use the balls that were supplied with the dunk tank.

The ensuing battle was somewhat caught on camera

Awesome.  If every day at the track involved a dunk tank we'd all be the better for it. Cool
