I think I said that at 60 people preregistered I'd post a course map.  As of this moment there are 51 so here's what it'll be if we don't get over 60.

Hey!! Great!! How many laps? What is club policy on bump-drafting? Can we get Speed Channel to cover it?

Scott and I will miss the July event.  I'd like to say it's because Craig is Course Master, but that would be a lie.  July 11th happens to be the day Scott and Kelly are getting married and I feel I should be at their wedding instead of at the autocross.  We'll miss visiting with all you great people and driving our "one-gear" Cobra.  Have a great event.  See you in August.

Don't worry, I'll volunteer to design the next course that you guys are at.  I'll make sure that at least one gate is slightly narrower than the track on the Cobra!

Congrats Scott!

Thanks Craig!
I approve your course suggestion...you know I'll still find a way through it Wink

What Craig isn't saying... is that this course will be run in REVERSE!!!  Huh?

Notes:

-please bring cold water and shade
-watch other people around you for signs of heat stroke.  Symptoms may include:
             Rapid heartbeat
             Rapid and shallow breathing
             Elevated or lowered blood pressure
             Cessation of sweating
             Irritability, confusion or unconsciousness
             Feeling dizzy or lightheaded
             Headache
             Nausea
Fainting, which may be the first sign in older adults
Not immediately running for downed cones
-check your oil level (seriously)
-bring water sprayers for your tires

This is a rough representation of what might happen on Sunday.

We are shooting for zero DNF's, nothing painfully slow and nothing too dangerously fast.

Absolutely what I needed for a course.  Thanks Craig!

I've been fighting oversteer in my car since day one and really needed a course that allowed me some near spin/correct/near spin/correct practice.  It was a skid pad frickin xmas for me.

Things went really smooth throughout the day also.  GG sirs.

Now if I only had someone else in my class!

Thanks for the luv and for a truly fun course today.  Big kudos to Craig for architecting a fun, flowing, safe course with something for everyone - fun skidpad, a good 40 to 65 MPH stretch punctuated by a Chicago box into slalom into downshift-tight esses and a showcase finish.  Trees & breeze kept things nice for lunch, and the workers kept everything moving smoothly.  Way to go SASCA - another well-run event...

I would just like to say I'm really enjoying AutoCross.  This is the most fun I've had outside of skiiing naked at Wolfe Pass from 13000 ft to 9700 ft in Feburary 2000.

I also really like the posting the rough course plan before the race.  I've not followed the SASCA postings much in my few months of membership but I will begin to.  I've really enjoyed meeting everyone and I'm trying to remember names and cars and faces.

Oh, yes, I didn't really ski naked.  Ok, I've never done Wolfe Pass either.  Ok, I've never ski'd above 11,000 ft either.  Ok, I've only been skiiing a few times.  Ok, I've only been autoxing since Jan 2010.  But, I'm hooked!!   Cool
