The event went extremely well considering the curveballs. Ricky (and Jay, the Spokes crew, etc.) did a great job and made the right decisions. I don't think there could have been a better outcome.
Stanford- Everyone but Troy enjoyed seeing the red car screaming around the course to TTOD! Yes, sad but true, the TT has never been run on fresh/new R comps.

75 whp sucks, but that corolla was fun, I could do without the manual steering. thanks miller's for spray
Between troy Stan and that 240, they all sounded awesome. Frederico doesn't sound cool anymore. He needs a "slightly" muffled straight pipe

Uploaded videos from the race just now. I was pretty tired come those last runs. Summer is coming and the heat is already making me tired! Anyways, heres videos of the SM civic and ESP WRX. I'll take third place even though Shane got his nice new tires and had a pretty good gap on me! http://www.youtube.com/user/kinser86#g/c/7D7B5216C68991EF

Those new Hoosiers were better than I expected. I figure I gained about 4 seconds compared to my street tires. I believe it was John who warned me Hoosiers are like Purple Crack, he was right!!

Kudos to Shane for the FM transmitter. We were at Subway across the street and still receiving perfectly clear.

Cheers! I'm quite happy it all worked out too! But, I gotta remember to turn off my radio during my runs. With the "Mouth of the South" John Hale at the Mic, I was laughing while trying to navigate the back slalom!

We talked about it off-and-on for a number of years. It wasn't until earlier this year, about 2 months ago, we started talking more seriously about it again... From the time we gave the green light to do it to the time Shane made it happen was only a week or so.

^ What Ricky said. The kicker was that regional event a bunch went to (they had a TXmitter) and that SASCA #3 event last month. If you remember, we had the lane that returned to the grid circle behind the trailer. WE also had the speaker facing the lane, and tried to time announcing times and cones as the drivers were passing the speaker. Just that alone was an improvement for drivers. I know I found myself, and saw quite a few other people, stopping at that speaker for a moment to hear any DNF or Connage-P0wnag3. That made the decision to go ahead with the TXmitter even easier for us. Now.. FM Transmitter!
