Congrats to Stanford for running high-12s in his stock "Toyota" grocery-getter...  Way to represent the F :-)

Thanks - Even more of a fan of IS-F now.
2 passes, bone stock, 1/4 tank  of gas, manual mode, shift at the chime
First pass was hot off the street - 12.94 @110.6 (2.03 sec 60')
Second pass was after 40 minute cool down - 12.90 @ 111.63  bad launch (2.13 60')
26.5 MPG on the way home.
Such a great handling, solidly-built car.  Nice to be back in a ToyotaLexus.

Regardless of the slight spin off the line, those times are extremely consistent.

Let's put the pencil to that:

If you take the 1/8th mile time and multiply it by 1.55 it is shockingly close to the 1/4 mile time for most cars.  If the S-man did the 2.03 60' on the second run it would equate to 12.90 - .155 = 12.745.  On top of that, the air wasn't even that good.  That is shocking fast for a glorified Camry!  Just wait until the dual fart cans go on, or is that four?!

I once planned to bolt a 4-into-1 header collector to a chrysler new yorker exhaust pipe as a Quadratip.   And IS-F would need that setup x2.

So I don't wanna read thru all 7pages.  Did this Put up or Shut up thing ever happen??  If not when are we going to do it?

I'm also interested in a drag day.  Anyone else?

It got canceled due to cold weather!! D'Oh!
But, yes, it'll happen again.
I'm thinking about targeting a wednesday in March.
Should be a good time of year, not too hot, not too cold. Smiley

Hey, this is Shane's gig, I only do bachelor parties and Bar Mitzvahs.

Have you taken your car down the 1/4 before?  My offer to swap cars still stands.  Why do you laugh every time I make such a generous offer?

BTW, who is this Shane guy I keep hearing about?

50% chance I may be going to SAR Wed 3/17 to watch a buddy run his Shelby Mustang (smaller pulley, intake, 285 width drag radials).  Very fast car, almost as fast as Craig's Miata last time we were out there.  I'd be in our used ToyotaLexus & might make a pass or two if I can look under the car and easily drop the exhaust post-resonator like I do on the blue S2000.
