A few of us have recently had the chance to run the 1/4 mile for the first time.  It's not the same as an AutoX run, but rest assured, it's a hell of a lot of fun none-the-less.  But one thing the 1320 has over running an AutoX event, is that good 'ol side-by-side against your foe!
So.. Who's in?  Lets' get a good group out there and find out who can go faster in a straight line!  San Anton' or Austin!!  Smiley

When:
Wednesday December 9th.
Street & Grudge Racing (Test & Tune)
Gates open at 7:00, races start at 7:30
Why Wednesday? Why not on the weekend?  Anybody who has been to a Weekend Test-n'Tune vs a Wednesday TnT can tell you, it's not worth it.  On the weekends, there are sooooo many people there you'll be lucky to get 2 runs in after 3 hours.  Sad   Wednesdays though?  You'll get 8 runs in 1 hour.   It's well worth blood-shot eyes the next day at work.

Where:
San Antonio Raceway
http://www.sanantonioraceway.com

Why:
We all love racing that AutoX clock, but there is just no substitute for a good 'ol Heads Up race!!

We likey.  Are we talking heads-up, or bracket?

Unfortunately, I need a cool night and tailwind to get the M3 into the 14s.  Got punished by Ricky's Tundra and Greg's 7100 lb Dodge last time (14.7s for the trucks, 15.0 @ 95 for me).

Not sure about Wed night since we're in North Austin, but if it's a Fri I might persuade Ms. Curry to bring her Corolla 1.8L auto.

I've been wanting to run my S2000 at the drag strip.  I'm in!

I'll have my camcorder and tripod there filming.  Hopefully someone can film my runs too.  ^_^

^ Awesome!!  I'll bring my suction-cup camera mount system too.
Easy to swap in and out of cars.

Well... I recon we'll just have to make sure the meeting is not on that day!
Or better yet, have the meeting at the track.  And if someone want's to make a motion, they have to win a race first!!  Smiley

The meetings are always the first Wednesday of the month.  Any chance of scheduling the grudge match for the following week?

Let's have the grudge match on the following Wed, 9 Dec.  We've got quite a bit of business to take care of at the meeting on 2 Dec.  Plus, my Corvette will be in the shop that week and if we go on 9 Dec, I'll bring it out to play.

Excellent!  The December meeting is an important one. But now that this is moved to the 9th, I plan on being there.  Should be a lot of fun.
