Does anyone feel that attending this class would at any level help an aspiring auto-crosser to become a better driver.
My current driving skills are not to the level that I would feel I could even design a good course, much less take the pressure of actually being responsible for its creation, so would attending the Course Design School add any "skills" to a novice; like being able to read gates so you don't have to think about them (i.e., I could look farther ahead without having to decipher the gates/comes), or would there be a understanding of the proper line from a map/walk through.
I imagine there would be little insight that taking taking the class would help, but just thinking about it, it seems the Evolution School would be a much more wise choice.
Any comments?

The course design school is an excellent way to be able to decipher a veteran designer's "visual trickery". Roger Johnson likes to add a lot of flair to his courses that seem to make them harder, but are basic elements of an auto-x. The course also gives you an idea of what a design on paper may look like in the car. For the money, I think the course was helpful not only to look at designing, but also learning how to navigate better. May also help you realize a potential dangerousd spot on the course and help the club avert tragedy!
