I've had multiple inquiries as to whether or not we'll have an event tomorrow. We have a 0% chance of rain tomorrow and the course has been designed to avoid all standing water (per university requirements).

YES, we are holding an event tomorrow and will not cancel it for "weather."

The A&M club put on a great autocross.  The results are now online at:

I took just a few photos. They are at

I was not happy with my driving at this event, but I still had a great time.  I plan to start attending these events regularly.  The combination of the higher speeds, longer course, and very high grip level on R-compounds gave me problems, but I need this type of practice.  There were a lot of cones hit by a lot of drivers.  Its hard to thread the needle on the really tight gates when you MUST maintain a LOT of speed and you have a whole lot of grip to thread that needle with. Cones were flying high into the air.  Also the venue is very very large so you get some really long really fast sweepers.  Tons of fun.

This time around I had a great time.  The event went very smoothly and, of course, they have a great venue to run at.  I wasn't happy with my driving either, but I think it has something to do with jumping back and forth between FWD and RWD in addition to trying to figure out the nuances of a car that's not mine, nor is it set up the same way as the one I own.

I'll have to make it back, perhaps with a more familiar set of wheels, but then again, I'm always a car whore.  I'll drive anything I can get my hands on and still have fun doing it... [Cheesy]

hehe... even though i stunk it up at this event (zero clean runs!) i think this was one of the most fun courses i have run on yet!

i was really looking forward to driving my car at this venue but it wasn't to be (broken wheel stud)... so just like my previous (and first) time out at A&M... i drove poopsi.
