Rene,

Glad to see you on the SASCA board (I e-mailed you about the last DE you all held, but unfortunately could get to there on the re-scheduled day.  [Sad!])

Folks of SASCA: This is similar to the event I posted a plug to last month, except THIS is a 2 day event.

Rene, is there anything specific that anyone should be concerned about in terms of tech inspection?  I think convertibles without roll bars are no bueno, correct?  So the Miata (and other 'vertible folks) might need some extra equipment before making the trip down, if I remember correctly.

I will be trying really hard to get down there for this, so again, if anyone wants to make a caravan out of, just let me know.

Adrian thanks for the reminder. Yes convertibles do need roll bars. As far as tech inspection we have a tech sheet on our website. Our big three items are helmet, battery tied down & no loose items in your car. If you guys are not having an issue with the SACSA tech. I am sure you will not have an issue here. As far as helmets we do require a M95 or newer helmet.( we do have loaners )

Driving suits are not required but if you have one it’s a great idea. We do recommend long sleeve shirt’s & long pants for the event.

If you are new to DE’s don’t worry we have plenty of instructors that will work with you in your car until you are comfortable to solo. It is not uncommon for a good driver to go solo within about 2 hours with an instructor the first event.

I will also be headed down for this event, but I have yet to decide if I'm leaving Friday night or early Saturday morning.  I hope to see some of you down there.

Btw - these events are REALLY  fun!!!
