Do we have a place or can we set up an area to store past course designs? I think it would be helpful for designing new courses if we could look up certain features of past courses.

If it can't be done on this site I can set up an area on one of my servers we can link to.

We could just post them in a thread unless our web guru, Day, has a better idea.  The Houston region has a nice repository at http://www.houscca.com/solo2/course_maps.aspx that I often refer to.

If you ask John, he'll tell you they're all the same.  Slalom - turn - slalom - turn - rinse - repeat.  I think there's a bit more to it.

A collection of maps would be great.  Here is what I have.  This zip file includes 8 of the 10 courses we have run at Verizon this year.  I am missing May and August of 2005.  If you have these, let me know and I will add them to the zip file.  A blank course template is also included in the file.

This is somewhat related-  can we have some of the top drivers post helpful hints on what lines/techniques they used that really made a big difference on each course?  I think it could really help us lesser drivers a lot especially if each type of car is represented (high power rwd, low power rwd, prepared fwd, street tire fwd, etc.)

Thanks Tom.  Now if we can just find August, we will have all the 2005 events.

I have updated the zip file and it now contains 9 of our 10 2005 events. Its still at:

Has a notebook ever been assembled with a collection of old maps/layouts from past SACA Talelites newsletters? The newsletter usually had a copy of map from monthly event. I have several newsletters from the early '90s so I will copy and paste on here.

That's some cool history there...  I think Matt Shover was expressing interest in reviving Tale Lites in the near future... Most likely it would be made available only electronically so there's no need to mail it out.
