SASCA autocrossed on Brooks from the late 80s to 1998. We used both part of the old runways
and the "taxiway area".  The runways are in
bad shape, but might work. Lots of holes and
weeds.  The area made up of 20ft concrete blocks is actually the best place out there to race.  There has always been a few problem areas, but the area is so big it is possible to design around the problems.

SASCA put a proposal together to submit to Brooks.  It is on Ricky's server at
http://www.conehunter.com/xfer (Warning... Due to images this file is just under 2MB. Is a .DOC file. It "should" be a PDF file.

Has anyone contacted the old ROAM facility on rt 35 just below New Braunfels? I go by there sometimes during the week and there are a couple cars there. I went by this past Sunday at about 11:30 and no one was there. After paying $3mil for this place they might be willing to accept our small "donation" to use their parking lot.

I'm pretty sure the facility is owned by The Tree of Life Church of New Braunfels. Just an idea.
