Congrats on the novice win.  One more and you get the boot (from novice).  Great showing. Good luck in BS!! (hehe)  Enjoy that free auto-x.

Well i REALLY like the look of the azenis sports, which look ALOT like the Parada spec-2s.  Havent really found anywhere to buy them though, at least not in a 205/40/17.  Got some pics of my old Racing Hart C5s from my R.I.P. Accord with their 215/45/17 tires.  Just jacked up the car, and put the rim next to the lugs.  Try to imagine it on there with smaller tires, then give me your honest opinion.   THANX!!!

Ahem...[:-mischievous]

I ended up in the 44's by the end of the day and beat the familly cruiser by almost 2 seconds.[:-mean]

hehe, good racing Gerno. I guess I just need to make sure I replace my 80k mile shocks before you go out and buy some real rubber for your Passat.

Actually, I was not only impressed with how the Passat was doing, but also the guy in the comletely stock black Civic Si (with the crappy OEM tires). He was pulling 48's and that's impressive on his first autocross![:-propeller]

I did say the 205 fit tight on the 7 inch wide rim, as in a perfect fit like a normal 215 or 225 wide tire. And you can still fit them on a 6 inch wide wheel but the tire becomes slightly rounded and you might lose some comtact patch, but I've seen it done many times.

well the extra set of rims i have is i think 6.5 inches wide. do azenis handle much differently with different pressures?

I think it was an awesome course and the rain just made it even more fun.  The part that killed me was the gravel that started piling up on the outside of the turns...  I came down the straightaway very close to the top of 2nd gear (probably around 55-658mph), hit the brakes and wagged the tail between the two offsets at the end, but that set me up just a little too wide to the right coming into the 100-degree left hander.  My rear tires hit the gravel and I did a 180 on what I felt would have been one of my fastest runs of the day.  Oh well, it was a great course nonetheless... I like the tight sections in the back, near the SAWS water building.

To anybody working corners 2 or 3 when Run Group 1 was racing, I hope you liked my 'drifting show' through the tight esses...  It wasn't meant to be a show, but I would have LOVED to have had a video tape of a few of my runs through there.  I can imagine it was pretty cool from outside the car.  Luckily I didn't make you guys run after any cones in that back section.

Cummon.
Selling me short now.
That was a high 47 on my best time. Not 48.
And yes, the stock tires suck.
What was honda thinking.
Thanks for the compliment though.
Don't worry, i'll be running with you old guys soon enough.

I thought the coarse was great minus all that gravel, I looked at my victoracers when I was taking them off and they were all cut up, ahh well.  I just can't wait untill I get to use them again [:-banghead]

I've had to resort to drag racing and its just not as fun.
